Studio 9's film The Pick Up had a great screening at the Flickerfest Film Festival in Australia. Unfortunately, we couldn't make the flight all the way down under as we were knee deep in post for Battle. Next time, we're there!

Studio 9's film Battle wrapped after an amazing shoot in Acton, California. The shoot was both exhausting and exhilarating. Exhausting because it was long hours, usually from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Exhilarating because we got some extraordinary performances. The film goes into post-production now and we're looking forward to seeing the final project.

Studio 9's film The Pick Up had a fantastic world premiere at the Palm Springs Short Film Festival. It screened to a sold out opening night crowd as well as the comedy slate "Idiot's Delight." The Palm Springs Short Film festival is the biggest in North America. The Studio 9 team couldn't have been happier with the red carpet treatment all the filmmakers were afforded. The staff and volunteers at ShortFest are an unparalleled class act!!

It’s rare to read a script and think, ‘I’ve never seen a movie like this before!’ But that was very much my experience when I first read America. Not only does it tell an important story, but it makes me laugh, both with its ironic wit and its warmth.
Mark Johnson, Producer
America is a brilliant blend of comedy and drama that will make audiences laugh and cry throughout.
